Art alumnus takes out national award

Queensland College of Art alumnus Madeleine Kelly has won the $25,000 Sunshine Coast Art Prize for her stunning abstract work, Allowable Forms and Unconscious Facts. The Sunshine Coast Art Prize is a national contemporary acquisitive award presented by Sunshine Coast Council. The award is open to any artist who is an Australian resident, working in a 2D medium.

Griffith filmmakers release Hollywood blockbuster

Griffith Film School graduates Peter and Michael Spierig have cemented their position in Hollywood with their latest feature, Winchester, which hits Australian cinemas this week. The identical twin directors, with fellow alumnus and producer Tim McGahan, unveiled their supernatural thriller to audiences in the US last month.
