Some of Australia's leading design minds will join the Queensland College of Art in 2020.

Queensland College of Art student Ronda Sharpe enlisted the help of Griffith University's IT team to help create her entry for this year's Swell Sculpture Festival - using hundreds of old data cables to create part of a stunning collaborative work.

Queensland College of Art alumnus Madeleine Kelly has won the $25,000 Sunshine Coast Art Prize for her stunning abstract work, Allowable Forms and Unconscious Facts. The Sunshine Coast Art Prize is a national contemporary acquisitive award presented by Sunshine Coast Council. The award is open to any artist who is an Australian resident, working in a 2D medium.

Queensland College of Art doctoral candidate Dale Harding has unveiled a stunning new work at the Tate Liverpool, as part of the tenth Liverpool Biennial. Dale joins more than 40 artists from 22 countries at the UK's largest contemporary art festival, which opened over the weekend and attracts more than a million visitors during its 15 week run.
