Juliet Bell recently graduated with a double degree in Design/Business and said her studies at Griffith have been helpful in securing work and internship opportunities.
“The business/marketing side of the degree has helped me understand consumer behaviour and develop marketing strategies, and the design side has enabled me to produce content and marketing materials. Each time I have spoken to an employer they have pointed out how beneficial the double degree in design and business is!”
“Through the graphic design program, I built a business plan and developed a brand from scratch called ‘Mended’ where I created custom denim jackets with designs on the back. After showing these jackets at the QCA Graduate Exhibition, I’ve had some freelance design opportunities and I’ve been presented with great job opportunities.”
“I also did an internship at Newscorp in Brisbane during my degree. It was a great experience working in a large business with large clientsand helped me develop my design skills.”
“I’ve loved being a part of the QCA, it’s a place where you want to come and study and be around like-minded people. The QCA staff are really encouraging and are always available if you want to run an idea past them. Each one of my lecturers has helped me to grow.”
