Queensland College of Art graduate Andy Lowrie has been selected to exhibit his latest collection of jewellery in Rome as part of an international exhibition showcasing the best young talent from around the world.

During the QCA graduate shows throughout October and November, our graduating students showcased work from the disciplines of fine art, photography, design and digital media, contemporary Australian Indigenous art, film, animation and games design. These exhibitions celebrated the remarkable achievements of students during their studies, and recognised notable outstanding students through awards across each of the creative disciplines.

Assembling a collection for Paris Fashion Week is the culmination of a life’s work for young designers. A few months after graduation, Queensland College of Art jewellery designer Jess McMaster is in the city of light to show her latest accessories collection to international buyers and trendsetters. Jess graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art Jewellery and Small Objects last year and has been working feverishly to create a stunning new collection to go on display in The CUBE Showroom, alongside other emerging designers.

Contemporary jeweller Vanessa Williams has just returned to Australia after exhibiting her work at the Museum of Arts and Design’s annual six-day exhibition and sale in New York. Queensland College of Art (QCA) Bachelor of Fine Art graduate, Bridgette Shepherd has been selected as a finalist in the 2014 National Contemporary Jewellery Award (NCJA).
