Griffith alumnus Kate Miller-Heidke has been chosen to represent Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest. Miller-Heidke's stunning performance of Zero Gravity won the public vote at the live TV finals for Eurovision - Australia Decides, held on the Gold Coast over the weekend.

Queensland Conservatorium alumnus Kate Miller-Heidke has been announced as the first headline act for Festival 2018. The multi-platinum selling artist will be a major drawcard at the multi-arts festival, which will run alongside the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games from 4-15 April.
