A mighty effort from Griffith University’s 2021 rugby sevens secured second place in the final tournament and fourth overall in this year’s 2021 Aon University Sevens series.

Griffith’s rugby sevens team secured the Queensland regional Aon University Sevens title over the weekend, winning on overall points.

Griffith University has named the squad for its 2021 AON Uni 7s campaign, with high hopes for a successful season after Covid impacted the interstate rugby sevens competition last year.

Australian 7s squad member and Griffith student Demi Hayes is one of three Aussie players allocated to this year's Griffith Uni 7s.
