Two Singaporean Griffith Education graduates have been recognised in Singapore’s national Skillsfuture award program.

Master of Training and Development (offshore) graduate Colonel Sng Hock Lin received the Exemplary SkillsFuture Award for his work on Public Sector Transformation.

Colonel Lin was responsible for the transformation of the Army Logistics Training Institute (ALTI) Singapore, to a future-ready institute with modern adult learning methodologies, curriculum and training technology.

Recognition also extended to his collaboration with Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Polytechnics and Singapore University of Social Science, to build an ecosystem to equip soldiers with skill sets to meet future training standards.

Hock Lin has recently commenced a role as Deputy Chief ActiveSG Sport Singapore.

Since completing his Griffith degree in 2017, he has also commenced his PhD studies.

SkillsFuture Fellowship award recipient Winston Sng

Fellow Master of Training and Development (offshore) graduate, Mr Winston Sng, was also awarded the SkillsFuture Fellowship Award.

Mr Sng is a senior human resource manager at the United Test and Assembly Centre Singapore, in charge of learning and development.

“I must say a big thank you to the faculty members of Griffith University who guided us through the Master of Training and Development course,” he said.

“Most significant for me was the research done for my final project, which I applied back at work, and that led to my organisation being awarded the SkillsFuture Employer Award 2018.”

“I am very humbled that my lifelong learning journey has been recognised with the SkillsFuture Fellowship 2019.”
