Prof Martin Betts, DVC (Engagement) welcomed officials from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Australia to the Griffith Asia Institute on Friday, 5 September. Indonesia’s Deputy Chief of Mission Ms Kusuma Habir and Education and Cultural Attache Prof Ronny Noor met with Griffith researchers and staff to discuss Griffith’s current activities and future engagement plans with Indonesia.
Following the meeting, the official guests attended the Wayang Kulit performance (Javanese shadow puppet drama) at the Queensland Conservatorium, presented by the Conservatorium’s Gamelan Orchestra in conjunction with visiting Indonesian artists.
