With students from more than 130 countries, Griffith University has good reason to celebrate its cultural diversity.
Accordingly, Campus Life in conjunction with the University’s student clubs, societies and the Student Representative Council will present the 2013 Cultural Gala this Saturday (September 7).
Starting at 6.30pmand held in the Campus Heartat Nathan, the gala will feature the food, music, fashion, art and other cultural aspects of many of the countries connected to Griffith University.
Clubs Coordinator and SRC Liaison Officer, Wade Hurst, said that while a party atmosphere would prevail, it was important to acknowledge Griffith’s commitment to embracing cultural diversity.
“This is a chance to experience the world through great food, great music and amazing cultural performances,” Mr Hurst said.
“We will have a range of international foods to try, beverages including cocktails and mocktails, live performances throughout the night and our famous photo-booth.”
Tickets are $10 for Griffith students and $15 for all others. This includes a food package and welcome drinks.
Tickets are available from the Student Association and Clubs Area (N28) and the Griffith Sport Office (N11) at Nathan; and the Griffith Shop at Mt Gravatt and Logan.
