Griffith University has announced the winners from its four academic groups in the 2024 Outstanding Alumni Awards, with a talented group of recipients from around the world.
Sixteen high-achieving alumni have earned top spots in the University’s awards in the academic groups of Arts, Education and Law; Griffith Business School, Griffith Health, and Griffith Sciences.
The 2024 award winners include television producers, hotel group CEOs, transformation and change management experts, clinical researchers, IBM Master Inventors, and sustainable development professionals whose significant contribution to society reflects Griffith’s core values of excellence, ethics, and engagement as they continue to ‘make it matter’.
Each academic group has awards in the following categories:
- Outstanding Alumnus
- First Peoples Alumnus
- International Alumnus
- Young Alumnus
The academic group winners will progress as finalists for the overall Griffith University Outstanding Alumni Awards at a ceremony to be held in Brisbane on Thursday 26 September.

Griffith Sciences:
- Andrew McNeilly ESM (Outstanding Alumnus Award)
- Dale Bowie (Young Alumnus Award)
- Samuel Jesuadian (International Alumnus Award)
- Caleb Adams (First Peoples Alumnus Award)
Nominees were assessed on their alignment with the broad selection criteria including their success in, and contribution to, their chosen industry/profession and their substantial contribution to the community at local, state, national or international levels, along with and their demonstrated attributes in alignment with the values of Griffith University.
