Centre for Governance and Public Policy Success with ARC Grants and Fellowships

The Centre for Governance and Public Policy (CGPP) has again been successful in the Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project Scheme. In December 2022, the ARC awarded two grants to CGPP members.

Associate Professor Huiyun Feng, Professor Kai He & Associate Professor Gloria Ge were granted $171,550.00 for the project Discerning China’s Foreign Policy Playbook: Goals and Strategies.

Professor Alexander Brown and Dr Max Grömping with Dr Jacob Deem, Associate Professor Andrea Carson and Professor Rodney Smith were awarded $1,205,000.00 for the project Mapping & Harnessing Public Mistrust: Constitutional Values Survey 2023-27.

These two exciting research projects will commence in 2023 with the support of CGPP.

Additionally, CGPP Director Professor Kai He has been awarded two research fellowships:

  • Jennings Randolph Senior Fellowship from the United States Institute of Peace (USIP). The Fellowship was established by the USIP in 1988 to help develop and advance knowledge, peacebuilding tools and policy recommendation for more effective strategy, policy and programs that build sustainable peace. As the 2022-2023 fellowship program has been paused, the funding of USD$92,000 is transferred to a research award to Griffith.
  • Fellowship, The Academy of International Affairs NRW, Bonn, Germany (2023-2024)
