Year 11 and 12 students can get a taste of university life early and immerse themselves in their area of study before embarking on their tertiary education journey.
Head of Student Recruitment Katy Cuskelly said the Griffith Experience Day will be held from 5-8 July 2022 at the Nathan and Gold Coast campuses.
“This provides the perfect opportunity for high school students to immerse themselves in the university lifestyle and see what it’s like to be a Griffith University student,” Ms Cuskelly said.
“University life is very different to high school, and it’s important that prospective students have the opportunity to deep dive into their chosen interest area.
“Students will get to experience what a lecture, tutorial and laboratory are like, as well as go on a campus tour.
“Some students come to these experience days with many questions, and some may even be unsure about the study area they want to pursue.
“Experience days can help provide some perspective and make those decisions on study areas a bit easier.”
The Experience Day will offer hands-on activities and experiences so high school students get a better understanding and appreciation for what it’s like to study in that field at Griffith.
Students will have the opportunity to chat one-on-one about studying, pathways and admissions.
The Griffith Experience Days will be held during the July school holidays so students won’t miss days of school during their final years of secondary study.
Students will need to register for the event they wish to attend.
School holiday campus tours will run until 21 July.
