At this critical time the big decisions her government makes will shape Queensland’s future for many years to come.

O’Brien is looking forward to the opportunity to ask the Premier what she wants her legacy to be.

“An hour of conversation time is a luxury in broadcasting”

“An hour of conversation time is a luxury in broadcasting,” he said ahead of the evening event on Thursday 11 February.

The conversation will cover the big policy challenges facing Queensland as the pandemic hopefully recedes (economic, social, environmental), and how Premier Palaszczuk intends to confront them.

O’Brien also intends to explore her motivation, influences and style of leadership.

Previous guests on A Better Future For All have included former United States Ambassador to Australia Jeff Bleich,Qantas CEO Alan Joyce AC, ACTU Secretary Sally McManusand writer Bruce Pascoe.

“All our guests to date have had interesting and challenging things to say,” O’Brien said.

“I’ve been impressed by the breadth of talent and their willingness to sit down and have an honest conversation.”

This series continues to bring some of Australia’s most prominent and influential people together to discuss key contemporary national and global issues.

For the first time since COVID-19 forced the series exclusively online, Kerry O’Brien in Conversation with the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk will be a hybrid event, catering to both an in-person and a virtual audience.
