Researcher honoured in influential robotics list

Director of Menzies Health Institute Queensland Healthcare Practice and Survivorship Program ProfessorWendyMoylehas made it into Robohub’s 2019“30 women in robotics you need to know about”list.

ProfessorMoyle‘s research is centred on finding evidence for best practice in the care of older people and in particular, those with dementia.

She recently completed the largest and most rigorous trial of a social robot in dementia care. Within her social robotics laboratory, she evaluates new and existing technologies, and works internationally with engineers and IT specialists in the development of new technologies.

“To be featured with 29 amazing global women in robotics was a huge surprise. I take my hat off to my wonderful team who helped me to make it onto this list,” she said.

ProfessorMoylefeatures in Robohub’s distinguished group of robotics researchers, educators, designers and entrepreneurs from around the world, all of whom are advancing robotics knowledge and technologies in powerful and inspiring new ways.
