Are you a change maker? Social Marketing @ Griffith’s Change Conference returns

Griffith University's Change Conference is back.

Griffith University is bringing together a community of change agents next month, when Change Conference returns for 2019.

The conference is designed to inspire the wider community on how best to co-create, build and engage audiences in behaviour change campaigns for the greater good.

Dr Timo Dietrich speaks with a participant at Change 2018 conference

“If change is the new constant, achieving successful behaviour change around important social issues is a must,” said Dr Timo Dietrich, Deputy Director (Engagement) of Social Marketing @ Griffith.

“We must rewrite the narrative for how we, as a community, tackle social, health and environmental issues in 2020 and beyond.

“Social Marketing @ Griffith Research Centre is well placed to lead these discussion, as the largest university-based social marketing centre in the world.

“Our goal is to deliver insight-driven, evidence-based behaviour change programs to better the world we live in.”

Dr Patricia David

Griffith Research Fellow Dr Patricia David will speak at this year’s conference.

“Societies all over the world face social issues — food waste, obesity, environmental degradation are just some of the challenges we face today,” she said.

“Behaviour change programs aim to create positive shifts in the behaviour of individuals or communities.”

Dr Dietrich said conference content had been specifically designed for individuals and groups working in government, industry, social enterprises, and not-for-profit organisations.

“Its a great opportunity to learn effective strategies to build better behaviour change programs, for example, defining your audience’s pathway to behaviour change, and creating change in complex environments.”

There are 20 Keynote presentations which include influential global thought leaders likes Jeff Jordan from Rescue, Steve Menzies from Flinch Marketing, and Dr John Hall from Bondi Labs.
