Blockchain Research project wins funding boost

Griffith University has been successful in a major grant application for Blockchain Research.

The project, spearheaded by Associate ProfessorVallipuram Muthukkumarasamy from Griffith School of Information and Communications Technology,leverages blockchain technology to empower stockholders and leapfrog technological advancements in agribusiness, e-health, and trade services for borderless digital communities.

The agile platform integrates Aadhaar-based identity management and smart contracts and is privy to impressive support from academia, industry and the CSIRO, fostering cooperation between Indian and Australian academia and the potential for sustained future research.

Distributed Ledger Technology is transforming the future world of works with increased efficiency, transparency, and equality and Smart Contracts with self-organising concept are challenging centralised systems.
