Griffith Universityhas become the first university in Australia and New Zealand to accredit an undergraduate or postgraduate course with theInstitute of Managers and Leaders(IML).
This innovative accreditation givesGriffith Business SchoolMBAstudents fast-tracked access to the internationally recognisedChartered Manager (CMgr)designation.
In partnering with the Institute of Managers and Leaders in Australia, Griffith University joins more than 100 universities around the world in recognising the value of linking their management and leadership graduate and postgraduate qualifications with the local peak body for managers and leaders.
As an‘IML Pathway Partner’, Griffith University will enhance its long-standing commitment to equipping MBA students with the essential professional skills to compliment the more traditional theoretical lecture theatre-based learning.
Significantly, the fully flexible Griffith MBA now puts its students on the ‘pathway’ to becoming Chartered. The Chartered Manager designation is the highest status that can be achieved as a management professional and is conferred by the Privy Council in London, UK.
In Australia and New Zealand, the Chartered designation is offered exclusively by IML, by virtue of a strategic alliance with with the Chartered Management Institute, following a rigorous assessment process.
As part of the partnership with Griffith, upon graduation, MBA students will automatically qualify for the fast-track exemption route to CMgr status. This will allow all Griffith graduates to become Chartered without undergoing the standard assessment process.
In addition to this fast-track pathway to becoming Chartered, Griffith MBA students will be supported during their studies with Affiliate Membership of the Institute. They will have access to the Institute’s suite of professional development services, including one-on-one mentoring, a professional resource database and the largest network of managers and leaders in Australia.
