Griffith is leading the way on a range of study areas to keep our graduates at the forefront of job opportunities.

In 2016 Griffith will be the first University in Queensland to offer a Bachelor of Computer Science with majors in data sciences and artificial intelligence.

Head of Griffith’s School of Information and Communication Technology, Professor Michael Blumenstein, said graduates equipped with these skills will be well placed to ride the wave of future job prospects. Find out how you can enroll in an information session at 10.30am at the Open Day.

And booming job prospects within the pharmaceutical industry has led Griffith to offer new degree programs in pharmacy and pharmacology.

Griffith will launch Australia’s first Bachelor of Pharmacology and Toxicology in 2016, as well as a graduate entry Master of Pharmacy which will be the only one of its kind in Queensland. These will complement the already established Bachelor of Pharmacy. Head to an information session on this at 10am in G16/1.07.

If innovation is more your style, step into the new Red Zone when you can imagine the future. The Red Zone is an exciting interactive environment when you can make music using your body, see how much pedal power it takes to light a lightbulb or see how much you can earn in your life time by trading stock from the year you were born.

The new financial Trading Rooms, located in the Griffith Business Building will be open to the public with information sessions on how to be a modern business success story at 10am (G42/2.17) and activities on the state-of-the-art Bloomberg terminals at 12.30pm (G42/2.16).

The Sports Zone will be buzzing with the latest in sports technology, information on the Griffith Sports College, representatives from pathway partner PGA International Golf Institute, our commitment to the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the chance to speak with elite athletes.

Meet Queensland Reds players Lachie Turner and Adam Korczyk and get your photo taken with them on the red couch from 11am to 1pm. Or see how your golf swing rates against the pros in the inflatable golf hitting bay.

There will also be other displays around campus in robotics, a diver-less smart car, e-bike display, 3D printing demonstration, saltwater touch tank and laboratory displays for biomechanics, dentistry and nursing.

Don’t forget to check out our giant video wall, located outside the Library, and use #seemore to interact live.
