Tickets are still on sale to see two ARIA Award winning musicians Kate Ceberano and James Morrison performing live at Griffith’s Logan campus.
Ceberano and Morrison will headline this year’s Jazz and Shiraz event, along with David De Vito and a host of other performers on Saturday, June 13 from 1pm — 5pm at Leneen Forde Sports Field.
It’s the first time Griffith has hosted the event for Logan City Council.
Logan City Council Mayor Pam Parker said she was excited to move the event to the university.
“Jazz and Shiraz is a wonderfully relaxed and family friendly celebration of great live music,” she said.
“This year I am just as excited about our new venue at Griffith as I am about the musical talent on the line up.
“The university’s Logan campus at Meadowbrook will be an ideal spot for people to settle in for the afternoon on a rug or chair with their picnic hamper and soak up the sounds.”
Music goers can also indulge in a selection of gourmet food trucks and a range of beautiful wines and other drinks.
Logan City Council are offering discounted tickets to Griffith staff and students.
Free shuttle bus transfers will run from the Loganlea Railway Station to Jazz and Shiraz regularly.
Tickets can be purchased from the Logan Entertainment Centre for $30 by quoting the code word “Griffith”.
