Griffith golf congress tees off with dinner

Calling all golf aficionados! You are invited to an evening of dinner, drinks, andand talk about all things golf at the 2014 World Scientific Congress of GolfDinner.

Hosted by Griffith University, the dinner is just one of the highlights of the threedayWorld Scientific Congress of Golf event taking place on the Gold Coast.

Leading Australian golf journalist Bruce Young will be the MC for the eveningdinner event which is being held at the QT Hotel, Surfers Paradise. Mr Young willbe conducting a QandA ‘On the Couch’ with Canadian PGA Coach HenryBrunton, author of High Performance Golf and US Golf magazine Top 100Teacher.

“The dinner is going to be a fantastic event. For the first time ever in the history ofthe conference, the dinner will be open not only to delegates, but to members ofthe public,” says Congress Convenor Dr Kerrie Evans from the Griffith HealthInstitute.

“We are really excited about the quality of the keynote presenters wehave been able to attract to the beautiful Gold Coast for the conference and aresure that many people will welcome the opportunity to network amongst such agreat line-up.”

There will also be a chance for guests to speak with keynote presenters from theconference including David Darbyshire, Adam Scott’s strength and conditioningcoach; Mario Lafortune, head of Innovation at Nike Golf; and Professor Phillip DiBella from Di Bella Coffee.

Golfing personalities such as Anthony Summers, tour player and winner of thisyear’s Queensland PGA Championship, CEO of ALPG and former British Open
Winner, Karen Lunn will also be sharing their experiences at this exciting event.

Meanwhile during the dinner, guests will have the opportunity to compete for‘Nearest the Pin’ prizes at the St. Andrews Old course on the amazing Golfzongolf simulator (www.golfzon.com.au)
