MH17 memorial

A national day of mourning has been declaredthis Thursdayfor the victims of the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 tragedy.

Griffith University will host a transmission of the memorial service for all staff and students who wish to pay their respects to the passengers ofMH17and their families.

MH17 was expected to continue on to Melbourne after arriving in Kuala Lumpur but was shot down over the Ukraine on July 17. All 298 passengers and crew were killed.

The public service will be broadcast live at both the Nathan and Gold Coast campuses.

The public service will be live streamed from St Patrick’s Cathedral Melbourne and will honour those who have lost their lives and seek to support those who have been bereaved.

Griffith University’s MH17 memorial service will be held onThursday 7th August, 10.30am-12.00pm
