Australia's athletes will have plenty to celebrate at tomorrow morning's closing ceremony of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games

Day10-11 update

Team Griffith athletes can add to their outstanding medal tally as the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games moves into the final day of competition.

Cyclists Chloe Hosking and Kat Garfoot will ride for Australia in the women’s road race. Garfoot already has a bronze medal from these Games after finishing third in the individual time trial.

Meanwhile, netballer Renae Hallinan is a big chance for gold when the Australian Diamonds take on New Zealand at 9.30 tonight (AEST) in what promises to be one of the great events of the 2014 Games.

Hallinan was a member of the Australian team that took the silver medal at the New Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games. Australia is looking to win netball gold for the first time since 2002.

The other big news will be tomorrow morning’s closing ceremony, a time of reflection and celebration for all the athletes, but most significantly featuring the Flag Handover Ceremony during which the Gold Coast will officially take ownership of the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
