Celebrating Griffith’s newest graduates

Ceremonies for 5000 graduating students will take place this week in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

More than 4,000 Griffith University students are preparing to mark the special milestone of their graduation.

From 25 July to 1 August, Griffith graduands will don the traditional cap and gown andattend one of six ceremonies being held at the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

The graduations are from all areas of the university including Law, Business, Science, Arts, Environment, Engineering, Technology, Education and Health.

Industry guest speakers will address each ceremony, joined by Griffith University Vice Chancellor and President Professor Ian O’Connor, senior academics, special guests, and graduands’ families.

The University will also award two honorary doctorates; to internationally respected computer scientist and university leader Professor Michael McRobbie AO; and Australian rugby union great and ophthalmic surgeon Dr Mark Loane AM.
