Just when you thought you could get a good night’s sleep now that the World Cup is over…the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games promises more late nights and early rises.

And this year’s games have even greater meaning because of the involvement of Team Griffith. With 13 students and 9 alumni competing in Glasgow, Griffith has more competitors than some entire nations!

At the end of the games the attention moves to the Gold Coast who will host the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Flag Handover Ceremony will take place at Hampden Park Stadium on Sunday 3 August this year and will be televised live in Australia early on the morning of Monday 4 August.
