Dr Larry Crump from the Griffith APEC Study Centre was pleased to announce yesterday that he and Professor Don Moon from Kyung Hee University have been awarded a grant by the Australia-Korea Foundation for their project: ‘Enhancing Australia—Korea Relations at National, Institutional and Individual Levels’.
The grant, which matches funding already provided by Kyung Hee University will be used to explore the Korea-Australia Free Trade Agreement (KAFTA) negotiations.
“We appreciate the Foundation’s decision to recognise the importance of this project” said Dr Crump, “The signing of the Korea-Australia Free Trade Agreement is a pivotal point in our joint histories. It is an exciting time where we can strengthen our relationship with Korea, and this research will help each Government make informed choices into the future.”
Work on the project is expected to commence later this year. Visit the Griffith APEC Study Centre for more information.
