Young jazz talent from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University will perform classics and modern arrangements for music lovers of all ages in Brisbane’s Queen Street Mall this July.
Held across three stages from 11 – 13 July, these free events include lunchtime and early evening sessions on Friday and Saturday and a lunchtime session on Sunday.
Offering the chance to see some of Brisbane’s most exciting emerging musical talent, performers include:
- Lachlan Hawkins Quartet
- Kayleigh Pincott,
- Sophie Min,
- the Con Brazilian Ensemble,
- Avalon,
- Clare and Jo,
- Inigo,
- The Magee/Green/Fowler-Roy Trio,
- Digby,
- 3-sided cube; and
- Little Girl Blue.
The Queensland Conservatorium’s jazz department was the starting ground for the likes of Katie Noonan, Megan Washington, Kristen Berardi, Elly Hoyt and a host of other Australian jazz greats.
