The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice is seeking organisations in Brisbane and the Gold Coast who can provide criminology students with an opportunity to gain professional experience in the workplace.
For the first time Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice students from the Gold Coast campus will be able to work one day per week with a host organisation as part of their studies.
Lecturer Dr Lyndel Bates says students who participate in the placements are motivated and enthusiastic.
“The placement experience is key in demonstrating to students how the knowledge and skills they learn at university apply in professional employment,” Lyndel said.
