A budget based on tough decisions

Fabrizio Carmignani, Professor of Economics, Griffith Business School, says the Queensland government has tough choices to make as Treasurer Tim Nicholls hands down the 2014 budget.

Professor Carmignani is confident about the current state of the Queensland economy and does not foresee major increases in taxation or expenditure.

He does not believe that anticipated asset sales are required, however.

Professor Carmignanis is available for further comment on the Queensland Budget.
