Excellence in teaching recognised in School awards

Criminology books

Serena Nicholls, Dr Kylie Doyle and Dr Troy Allard have received Sessional Staff Awards from the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice for their teaching in Semester 2, 2013.

The Sessional Staff Awards recognise excellence in providing an engaging learning experience for students.

Serena Nicholls was recognised for her teaching work in the course Law for Criminal Justice Professionals and Forensic Mental Health Legislation and Policy, Dr Kylie Doyle for Law, Government and Policy and Dr Troy Allard for Open Universities Australia (OUA) courses.

Highly commended awards went to Eric Wilson for Professional Ethics and Corruption Prevention, Lara Christensen for Introduction to Forensic Psychology, and Rosie Teague and Oriel South for their support in the OUA program.

Head of School, Associate Professor Janet Ransley said sessional teachers were a critical part of the Criminology and Criminal Justice teaching team.
