The International Business Development Unit (IBDU) had the pleasure of coordinating a group of 20 senior education professionals from Kazakhstan who participated in a 10-day course conducted by the School of Education and Professional Studies in early December, 2013.
The delegates were regional directors and senior teacher trainers from the National Center for Professional Development called Orleu.
Orleu oversees 17 institutions and provides professional development for all in-service teachers in Kazakhstan from childcare through to tertiary.
They annually send 150 teachers abroad for professional development short courses and will now include Griffith University in their list of providers. The next group is expected in March this year.
