Griffith University student and Paralympian Michael Anderson has been honoured with an OAM

Griffith University proudly congratulates former staff and students who received Australia Day Honours in 2014. Three members of the Griffith community were recognised for their outstanding contributions to the fields of education and sport.

The former Griffith Law School Academic was recognised for his distinguished service to tertiary education through administrative, academic and representational roles, andas a leader in the growth as a leader in the growth and development of the University of Canberra.

Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM)
Mr Michael Anderson ( B Business HTERS – Sports Management ) was honoured for his service to sport as a Gold Medallist at the London 2012 Paralympic Games

Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM)
Miss Brittany Elmslie (B Business HTERS – Event Management) was also recognised for her service to sport as a gold medallist at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
