Information evening provides first-hand career insights

Careers evening
At Careers Evening, industry representatives will have career booths to provide more detailed information about their industry and the type of work they perform.

Discover the exciting career paths that studying a degree in criminology can offer at our upcoming Criminology and Criminal Justice Careers Information Evening.

The information evening, on Thursday 5th September, will provide the opportunity to meet and talk to graduates, industry representatives and Griffith staff about studying criminology and the careers it can lead to.

School of Criminology and Criminal Justice graduates will speak about their experiences at Griffith University, the path their careers have taken, and also share their tips for study, networking and career development.

Head of School Associate Professor Janet Ransley said the evening was an invaluable opportunity to speak directly to industry representatives about what it was like to work in the field and what they are looking for in graduates.

Industry representatives will be attending from Queensland Corrections Service: Probation and Parole and Custodial Services, Australian Federal Police, Queensland Police, Gold Coast City Council and more.

Staff and current students will also be available to talk about Griffith’s Careers and Employment Service, the Criminology Student Society and the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
