MONA — the Museum of Old and New Art is Australia’s largest private museum and exhibits art from David Walsh’s collection. Select works ranging from antiquities, ethnographic pieces and Egyptian funerary objects through to contemporary works are displayed in ‘Monanism’ the permanent, but ever changing, exhibition. As of June 2013, Mona will also open its winter exhibition, Red Queen.
The eight-hectare site also includes the Ether Building Function Centre, Moorilla winery and vineyard, Cellar Door, Wine Bar and Barrel Room, Void Bar, Moo Brew microbrewery, The Source Restaurant, a 63-seat cinema, the MONA Library and gallery, as well as eight contemporary accommodation pavilions.
