The Griffith Business School Logan campus orientation for Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Business students, due to take place tomorrow (Jan 31), has been postponed.
The orientation event has been re-scheduled for February 4.
Griffith University’s campus at Logan will remain closed until further notice due to power outages caused by the severe storm activity in southeast Queensland.
Pro Vice Chancellor (Administration) Colin McAndrewsaid the campus would not be reopened until power was restored.
The latest advice from Energex at 9am today is that they are still unable to predict when electricity would be reconnected.
There will be no staff or student activity at the campus apart from facilities crews repairing storm damage.
For students seeking Logan orientation updates, these can be accessed by checking your student e-mail.
Logan Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Commerce (Professional) students can e-mail Program DirectorKirsten MacDonald ([email protected]) with any enquiries.
For Logan Bachelor of Business student enquiries, please e-mail Program DirectorDr Marty Fletcher ([email protected].
Gold Coast, Nathan, Mt Gravatt and South Bank campuses are open.
Griffith University will continue to monitor the situation as the impact of the storms, flooding and power outages is felt across the region.
