Paper wins international award

Gregor Shepherd receives his award from Kate Amos at at the Auckland War Memorial Museum in December.

School of Humanities PhD candidate Gregor Shepherd won a $1500 bursary at the ISANA 2012 International Education conference on December 6.

Mr Shepherd received the award for his paper – Experiencing Australia: Arab students’ perspectives and perceptions informing enhancement strategies at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

His PhD explores the study goals of Arab International students in Australia, why they choose to study in Australia what they hope to acquire from an Australia degree. The bursary will go towards his PhD studies.
