Inaugural awards recognise sessional staff

Sessional staff have been recognised for their dedication to teaching in the inaugural School of Criminology and Criminal Justice Sessional Staff Awards.

Julie Barkworth, Kylie Doyle and David Bartlett received 2012 Sessional Staff Awards while a special group commendation was awarded to Miria Bastock, Kylie Doyle and David Bartlett.

Associate Professor Janet Ransley said sessional staff made a very important contribution to teaching in CCJ.

“Tutors are often the main point of contact between students and the School, and great tutors, like Julie, Kylie and David, really enhance students’ learning.”

“They all bring strong academic knowledge coupled with practical professional skills to help students grasp key concepts’,” she said.
