Jam sessions profile next wave of jazz artists

At the end of a busy week, The Green Jam Sessions offer the perfect early evening interlude, combining smooth jazz and sunset beverages with a groovy lounge and a sizzling grill.

Each Friday from 5pm-8pm, The Green Jam Sessions’ free entertainment program will feature the students of the Queensland Conservatorium.

The Conservatorium’s Head of Jazz, Louise Denson, believes the sessions have provided a great opportunity for her students to perform for a broad audience, in a professional yet casual environment.

“With our alumni including success stories such as Hannah Macklin, Elly Hoyt and Joe O’Connor, audiences at The Green Jam Sessions could well be among the first to experience Brisbane’s next wave of great jazz artists,” Louise said.

The Spring/Summer program will showcase new performers Cassie Godbold, Jesse Green and Matt Hunter and feature past favourites Tamara O’Callaghan and Lauren Lucille.

The Green Jam Grill will be fired up with sizzling snacks while the bar will be stocked with Corona on ice and a refreshing new sunset cooler that captures the essence of Green Jam in a long, cool libation.
