On 1st August, the administrative services section of the Griffith Graduate Research School joined Academic Administration. While no physical change occurred on the day, GGRS staff have started reporting to a new Acting Manager (Terry Boothby) and the unit has been located within the Senior Manager, Client Services’ portfolio in Student Administration.
Between now and the end of December, consideration will be given to further recommendations for change. The name GGRS will in future be used to describe the Office of the Dean, GGRS while the administrative services unit that provides administrative support & frontline inquiry services to HDR students will be re-named Higher Degree Research Student Centres (or HDR Student Centre) at Nathan and Gold Coast.
Changes to forms, signage, web site and such will be progressively rolled out over the next few months. Later this year, the Nathan branch of HDR Student Centre will move to their new premises to the second level of the Willett Centre previously occupied by Griffith International. The Gold Coast branch will co-locate with e-research on the 4th level of the new G10 building in 2012.
Should you have any further questions or require additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact Terry Boothby at [email protected].
