Over 100 staff from central support and development services (GUMURRII Student Support Unit, International Student Services, INS (Learning & Teaching), Student Services, QIBT Support Services), and colleagues from Student Administration, Campus Life and the SRC met at Logan in early July to share information and resources relating to how these units work to support student leadership at Griffith. Guest speaker Carol-joy Patrick gave a presentation about the University’s Service Learning agenda, and a panel of speakers, including the President of the SRC at Logan, identified achievements and challenges for recognising and growing student leadership through both curricular and co-curricular activities. Outcomes of the session will be incorporated in the planning of various areas involved.
