Whether you’re looking for a career change or wondering what to do when you finish school the Careers and Information Evening at Griffith University’s Logan campus has answers.
Industry professionals, students, and university staff will be available to discuss and answer questions about careers in Business, Health, Education and IT at the July 30 event from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
There will also be tours of the nursing facilities, a taste of human services with a soup kitchen and information on how you can get into the IT and Business industries sooner.
People interested in a career in business will also be able to meet with potential employers.
Bachelor of Commerce (Professional) Program Director Dr Mark Brimble said information and advice would be available on everything from enrolment processes and study options to job prospects and what a career in a chosen field is really like.
“Whether you’re about to finish high school, a few years off or after a career change there will be plenty of information on offer and the opportunity to talk with staff, industry professionals and students to help you gain an understanding of careers and programs,” Dr Brimble said.
“We will also be announcing new scholarships for the Bachelor of Commerce (Professional) offered in Financial Planning and Accounting on the night and general scholarship information will also be available.”
People interested in completing university sooner will learn about the Accelerated business degrees which can be completed in two years, and the Business Professional and IT @ Work programs which include paid industry internships while studying.
